A few days of sunshine have some of us thinking about a new car. Before you shop for the perfect car visit the U.S. Government’s “Fuel Economy” website and find out which cars get the best gas mileage. Go to http://www.fueleconomy.gov/ and find out your car’s gas mileage.
According to the Government’s website, the most fuel efficient car is the BMW i3 BEF which gets a combined MPG (Miles Per Gallon) of 124 and the Volkswagen e-Golf which get 116. Of course, since these cars are electric I’m a little confused since they don’t use gasoline. (I’m sure there is a nice explanation).
The Tesla Model S AWD – 70D is rated at 101 combined MPG. Nice!
More understandable is the Toyota Prius Eco, which does use some gas and according to the US Government gets 56 MPG combined. The Ford C-Max Hybrid FWD gets 40. Not bad.
